Great Lengths Announces Partnership With The Little Princess Trust
Great Lengths is thrilled to announce a brand-new partnership with The Little Princess Trust which provides free natural hair wigs to children and young people, up to 24 years old, who have lost their own hair through cancer treatment or other conditions. Now, through our donations of hair, we are working toward a more sustainable, circular economy that keeps people and care at the centre of what we do. As the only recognised hair extension brand worldwide who’s ethical sourcing make our hair suitable for donation, we are extraordinarily proud of the opportunity to link arms with the families and people behind the Little Princess Trust.
What is The Little Princess Trust?
The Little Princess Trust is a highly valued and respected charity which greatly aligns with Great Lengths’ priority of ethical sources, methods, and goals for its products. This charitable organisation operates worldwide and aims to provide wigs for kids with cancer, helping them significantly in their daily life. The impact that The Little Princess Foundation has on children with cancer is astounding, such can be seen from data that shows that they have provided over 12,000 wigs, free of charge, since 2006 and are continuing to do so to this day.
Why is Great Lengths partnering with The Little Princess Trust?
Great Lengths is partnering with The Little Princess Trust because of the ethical sourcing that Great Lengths gets its hair from, voluntarily and cleanly, without any waste. Furthermore, Great Lengths retains amazing hair quality that is used by the charity to create higher quality wigs for sick children worldwide. This newfound efficiency and quality of hair combined with the ethical sources that provide Great Lengths with its products are what make it suitable for collaboration with The Little Princess Trust. Both Great Lengths and The Little Princess Trust retain great moral and ethical values which only strengthens our belief that this partnership will be nothing but great news for both organisations, our wonderful clients, and children with cancer worldwide.
What is the process of donation?
The process of donation from Great Lengths is also a highly valued and important thing that the company must maintain a high standard of. The process begins in India, where the finest quality human hair is selected and willingly and ethically given by clients. Next, the process continues in a production facility near Rome, Italy after being carefully managed and selected. The hair is then processed in this facility and is sorted into different lengths and categories by the staff. These Great Lengths extensions are then shipped worldwide, to over 50 countries and are carefully and delicately applied only by our certified hair stylists. After the extensions are removed by the client, they have the opportunity to donate them to the Little Princess Trust through our aforementioned certified stylists. The stylists will then directly provide Great Lengths with the used hair extensions and are then prepared for donation to the charity. After the extensions are donated they are made into wigs for children and young people up to 24 years old, who have lost their own hair due to cancer treatment or other conditions.
Teiva Collins is one of the many young people to have received a wig from The Little Princess Trust.
Who does this benefit?
Great Lengths partnership with The Little Princess Trust benefits sick children worldwide, by providing them with wigs after their loss of hair, the charity itself, by providing them with resources and services that help them complete their goal, and our beloved clients, because they can have peace of mind that their used products will not go to waste and that they are supporting a good cause.
